The Behavioral Traffic Safety Cooperative Research Program (BTSCRP) initiated a project to characterize the current state of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) education and to develop a practitioner guide that offers tools, strategies, and models for providing education and training about ADAS to users. Researchers will present a case study illustrating how tools and strategies from the draft practitioner guide can be applied to education and outreach for adaptive cruise control (ACC). After demonstrating the application of tools from the draft guidance materials, the presenters will seek feedback from the audience regarding the usability, understandability, and implementability of the guidance, which they will use to further improve the guide and other draft deliverables.
