Mike Alvarez, Chief Alvarez holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Sciences from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a Master of Arts in Homeland Security and Defense Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School. Chief Alvarez has also completed the USC Price, Safe Communities Insititute Executive Program and holds an Executive Leadership Certificate from Cornell University.
