The future of strong CPS programs throughout American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities depends upon collaboration, resources, training and cultural understanding. This session will explore tools necessary to establish positive working relationships with AI/AN programs and maintain sustainable CPS programs. Who are the established safety champions? What is the role of these safety champions? How can AI/AN communities partner with local, State and Federal programs? Steps for building and maintaining meaningful relationships and effective strategies to support and promote community outreach and advocacy will be discussed. Let’s meet and share ideas on how we can collaborate to save lives!

This CEU-eligible pre-conference session from exhibiting car seat manufacturers is your best opportunity for a deep dive into the latest car seat models, unique features, updated labels & instructions, and more. It will include manufacturer presentations, demonstrations, updates, tips & tricks, and direct interaction to have all of your questions answered. Since this session will now be held before the formal conference, opportunities to learn more and practice at manufacturer booths will be available throughout entire 2025 conference!
